They're like streetlights on a foggy night, useless except for illuminating tiny parts of the road. Highlighting some things but showing you little of the overall journey.
It's an exercise in trying to shrink who you are to a sellable, buyable, appealing person that a stranger will then only spend on average of ten seconds reading about. It's all so efficient and concise.
